L-Norvaline is a non-proteinogenic amino acid, chemically (2S)-2-aminopentanoic acid (CAS 6600-40-4, C5H11NO2, MW 117.15), a straight-chain structural analogue of the branched-chain amino acid valine with which it shares its molecular formula and molecular weight. It is produced synthetically and supplied as a crystalline powder at a typical assay of at least 98%. We manufacture it in powder and capsule formats.
