5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin

5-alpha-hydroxy-laxogenin

Laxogenin is a plant-type brassinosteroid. The grade marketed in sports nutrition is 5-alpha-hydroxy-laxogenin, chemically C27H42O5 with a molecular weight of 446.62 (CAS 56786-63-1), a derivative prepared from the steroidal sapogenin diosgenin. The parent laxogenin (C27H42O4) carries a separate CAS number, and the 5-alpha-hydroxy derivative differs by an additional hydroxyl group. It is supplied as a powder, typically on a carrier. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet and powder formats.
