Turkesterone is a phytoecdysteroid, chemically defined with the molecular formula C27H44O8 and a molecular weight of 496.63 (CAS 41451-87-0). It is supplied as an extract of the plant Ajuga turkestanica standardized to a defined turkesterone content, commonly 10%. It carries one more oxygen atom than the related ecdysteroid 20-hydroxyecdysone, offered as a separate family, giving it a higher molecular weight. It is supplied as a powdered extract.
