Dihydromyricetin (Ampelopsin)

(2R,3R)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-2-(3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)-2,3-dihydro-4H-chromen-4-one

Dihydromyricetin, also called ampelopsin or DHM, is the dihydroflavonol (2R,3R)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-2-(3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)-2,3-dihydro-4H-chromen-4-one (CAS 27200-12-0; C15H12O8, molecular weight 320.25). It is extracted from vine tea (Ampelopsis grossedentata) or Hovenia and standardised by HPLC, commonly to 98%. It is the 2,3-dihydro (saturated C-ring) counterpart of myricetin, which gives it the formula C15H12O8 against myricetin's C15H10O8. It is supplied as an off-white to pale-yellow crystalline powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets and powders.
