Ferulic Acid is the hydroxycinnamic acid (E)-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoic acid (CAS 1135-24-6; C10H10O4, molecular weight 194.18), the trans isomer. It is obtained from rice bran, corn and other cereal sources and standardised by HPLC. It is supplied as an off-white to pale-yellow powder and is used in both supplement and nutricosmetic formats. We manufacture it in capsules and powders.
