Genistein is the isoflavone aglycone 5,7-dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one (CAS 446-72-0; C15H10O5, molecular weight 270.24), the sugar-free form of the soy isoflavone genistin. It is obtained from soy (Glycine max) and standardised by HPLC. It is supplied as an off-white to pale-yellow powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets and powders.
