Luteolin is the flavone aglycone 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-4H-chromen-4-one (CAS 491-70-3; C15H10O6, molecular weight 286.24). It is extracted from botanical sources such as Sophora japonica or peanut (Arachis hypogaea) hull and standardised by HPLC, commonly to 98%. It is supplied as a yellow crystalline powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets and powders.
