Nobiletin

2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-5,6,7,8-tetramethoxy-4H-chromen-4-one (5,6,7,8,3',4'-hexamethoxyflavone)

Nobiletin is the polymethoxyflavone 2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-5,6,7,8-tetramethoxy-4H-chromen-4-one, also named 5,6,7,8,3',4'-hexamethoxyflavone (CAS 478-01-3; C21H22O8, molecular weight 402.39). It is extracted from citrus peel, notably tangerine and bitter orange, and standardised by HPLC. Its six methoxy groups distinguish it from the pentamethoxy citrus flavone tangeretin. It is supplied as an off-white to pale-yellow powder. We manufacture it in capsules and powders.
