Oxyresveratrol

trans-2,3',4,5'-tetrahydroxystilbene

Oxyresveratrol is the stilbenoid trans-2,3',4,5'-tetrahydroxystilbene (CAS 29700-22-9; C14H12O4, molecular weight 244.24), a hydroxylated analogue of resveratrol and a structural isomer of piceatannol with which it shares the formula C14H12O4. It is obtained chiefly from mulberry (Morus) wood and heartwood and standardised by HPLC. It is supplied as an off-white to pale-beige powder and is used in both supplement and cosmetic formats. We manufacture it in capsules and powders.
