PQQ Disodium Salt is the disodium salt of pyrroloquinoline quinone, disodium 4,5-dioxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-f]quinoline-2,7,9-tricarboxylate (CAS 122628-50-6; C14H4N2Na2O8, molecular weight 374.17), a redox-cofactor quinone. It is produced by bacterial fermentation and supplied as a water-soluble reddish-brown powder with GRAS and EU novel-food status. The two sodium counterions on the tricarboxylate make it the water-soluble salt form in which PQQ is commonly traded. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets, softgels and powders.
