Escin, also spelled aescin, is the triterpene saponin fraction of horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) seed, supplied as a purified grade standardised to 95% or higher escin and principally composed of beta-escin (CAS 6805-41-0, with beta-escin as C55H86O24, molecular weight 1131.26). It is a defined saponin mixture rather than a whole-seed extract carrying the full native matrix. It is presented as a fine defined-compound powder. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet and powder dosage formats.
