Horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), the seed, supplied as a standardised dry extract. It is standardised by HPLC to 20% escin (aescin), the triterpene-saponin complex that is the reference marker for the seed, at the upper end of the commercial 16 to 20 per cent range. It is a whole-seed extract rather than an isolated saponin. It is supplied as a dry powder. We produce it in capsule, tablet and powder dosage formats.
