Saffron (Crocus sativus), the dried stigmas, supplied as a standardised dry extract. It is standardised to 3% crocins, the water-soluble carotenoid glycosides responsible for the colour, measured by UV, with safranal as a secondary volatile marker. It is a whole-stigma extract rather than an isolated carotenoid, retaining the native crocin, picrocrocin and safranal profile. It is supplied as a dry powder. We produce it in capsule, tablet and powder dosage formats.
