NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide)

beta-Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, oxidized form

NAD+ is beta-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide in its oxidized form (CAS 53-84-9, C21H27N7O14P2, molecular weight 663.43), the central pyridine-nucleotide redox coenzyme. It is a dinucleotide that joins nicotinamide mononucleotide to adenosine monophosphate through a pyrophosphate bridge, and is produced by enzymatic or chemical synthesis. Against the reduced grade in this family, NADH, this is the oxidized, electron-accepting form and carries two fewer hydrogen atoms (C21H27N7O14P2 versus C21H29N7O14P2); and where nicotinamide mononucleotide and nicotinamide riboside are precursors, this is the assembled dinucleotide coenzyme itself. We supply it as a powder and manufacture it into capsules, tablets and powders.
