This grade is the unextracted botanical material rather than a concentrate, carrying only its native silymarin flavonolignan content of roughly 1.5-3% with no marker adjustment applied. It stands apart from the family's concentrated seed extracts, which are solvent-extracted and standardized to fixed silymarin or silibinin percentages. Supplied as a free-flowing tan seed powder, it serves as both a finished ingredient and the raw feedstock for the standardized extract grades.
