Valerian (Valeriana officinalis L.) root and rhizome, supplied as a concentrated dry extract. It is standardized by a 10:1 native extract ratio, approximately ten kilograms of root and rhizome per kilogram of extract, making it more concentrated than the 4:1 ratio grade. Like the 4:1 material it is a whole native extract defined by drug-to-extract ratio rather than an isolated compound or an HPLC valerenic-acids assay. The finished material is a brown dry-extract powder. We manufacture it into capsules, tablets, and powder blends.
