Magnesium Chloride

Magnesium chloride

Magnesium chloride is the chloride salt of magnesium (CAS 7786-30-3; MgCl2, MW 95.21), most often supplied as the hexahydrate flake that also serves as the basis of topical 'magnesium oil'. It is highly water-soluble and hygroscopic, and on an anhydrous basis carries about 25% elemental magnesium, the highest among the readily soluble salts though below the oxide and carbonate. It is commonly recovered from brine or seawater. We manufacture it into capsules, tablets, powders and liquids.
