Niacin (Vitamin B3)

Inositol Hexanicotinate (Flush-Free Niacin)

myo-Inositol hexa(pyridine-3-carboxylate)

Inositol hexanicotinate is an ester form of vitamin B3, built from one myo-inositol core esterified with six nicotinic acid units, chemically myo-inositol hexa(pyridine-3-carboxylate) (CAS 6556-11-2, C42H30N6O12, molecular weight 810.72). It is produced by chemical synthesis and assayed by HPLC, corresponding to roughly 91% nicotinic-acid equivalent by mass. In contrast to the free acid and amide, it is a large, poorly water-soluble hexaester that hydrolyses only slowly, giving it a slow-release character rather than the immediate solubility of the smaller single-ring forms. We supply it as a powder and manufacture it into capsules, tablets and powders.
