Icaritin

Icaritin (flavonoid aglycone)

Icaritin (CAS 118525-40-9, C21H20O6, molecular weight 368.38), the flavonoid aglycone corresponding to the icariin marker of horny goat weed (Epimedium grandiflorum, aerial parts), supplied as an isolated single compound at at least 98% by HPLC. Where the 98% icariin isolate is the intact prenylflavonoid glycoside, icaritin is the deglycosylated aglycone, giving a lower molecular weight and a distinct single-compound specification. It is a purified isolate rather than a whole-plant extract like the family's ratio-based and marker-standardized grades. It is supplied as a fine powder. Manufactured in powder dosage format only.
