Allergen statement
An allergen statement declares which of the regulated food allergens are, and are not, present in a product and on the line it is made on. Your labelling and compliance teams need it to get the on-pack declaration right.
What an allergen statement contains
Presence or absence of each regulated allergen
Allergens handled elsewhere on the same line
The cross-contamination controls in place
The basis of the statement, from formulation and supplier data
When you get it
Provided on request for a given product, so your team can complete its allergen labelling and due-diligence file.
