Zinc Acetate

Zinc acetate (anhydrous)

Zinc acetate is the zinc salt of acetic acid, manufactured in anhydrous and dihydrate grades (CAS 557-34-6). It is a water-soluble organic-acid salt, distinct from the inorganic oxide and from the amino-acid chelates. At roughly 35.6% elemental zinc it carries a higher elemental load than zinc citrate and the chelated forms, close to zinc sulfate though below zinc oxide. It is produced synthetically to a lozenge-suitable grade, standardized to elemental zinc content and supplied as a white crystalline powder, which we manufacture in tablet and capsule formats.
