Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), a member of the Solanaceae (nightshade) family, supplied here as the branded root-only extract KSM-66 (Ixoreal Biomed). It is produced from the root alone and standardized by HPLC to not less than 5% total withanolides, presented as a full-spectrum concentrate that retains the native constituent profile rather than isolating a single marker. This distinguishes it from the Sensoril and Shoden grades in this family, which are drawn from root and leaf and quantified on the narrower withanolide-glycoside fraction; KSM-66 also carries the lowest marker percentage of the branded grades. The material is a fine dry extract powder. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet, powder, and gummy formats.
