Whole-fruit powder of hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), produced from the dried berry. This is the unextracted base botanical: cleaned fruit is dried and milled to a flowable powder with no solvent concentration and no guaranteed marker percentage, so it retains the native fruit matrix on an approximately 1:1 basis. It differs from the family's 10:1 berry extract by the absence of any concentration step, and from the leaf-and-flower grades by both plant part (fruit rather than leaf and flower) and the lack of a vitexin, flavonoid or proanthocyanidin assay. Supplied as a milled powder, it is manufactured into capsules, tablets and standalone powder.
