Zinc Monomethionine (OptiZinc)

Zinc monomethionine, marketed under the OptiZinc name, is a defined 1:1 complex of zinc with the amino acid L-methionine, chemically zinc mono-L-methionine sulfate (CAS 56329-42-1). Unlike the two-ligand bisglycinate or dipicolinate chelates, it pairs a single methionine per zinc as a branded sulfate complex. At roughly 21.0% elemental zinc it is comparable to zinc picolinate and above the aspartate and orotate forms. It is produced synthetically, labeled by elemental zinc content and supplied as an off-white powder, which we manufacture in capsule and tablet formats.
