Calcium HMB (Calcium Beta-Hydroxy-Beta-Methylbutyrate)

calcium bis(3-hydroxy-3-methylbutanoate) monohydrate

Calcium HMB is the calcium salt monohydrate of beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate, a metabolite of the amino acid L-leucine, chemically calcium bis(3-hydroxy-3-methylbutanoate) monohydrate (CAS 135236-72-5, C10H20CaO7, MW 292.34). It is the classic and most widely traded HMB raw material, a stable, free-flowing crystalline powder, and differs from the HMB free acid by its calcium counter-ion and bound water of crystallization. It is produced synthetically. We manufacture it in powder, capsule and tablet formats.
