Hesperidin (Citrus)

Hesperetin 7-O-rutinoside

Hesperidin is a citrus flavanone glycoside, hesperetin 7-O-rutinoside (CAS 520-26-3; C28H34O15, molecular weight 610.56). It is extracted from citrus peel, chiefly unripe oranges (Citrus species), and standardised by HPLC to a stated hesperidin percentage, commonly 90-95% or higher. Unlike the family's aglycone grade, hesperetin, it retains the rutinose (rhamnosyl-glucose) disaccharide at the 7-position, which raises its molecular weight and lowers its water solubility relative to the sugar-free form. It is supplied as an off-white to pale-yellow powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets, powders and gummies.
