Hesperetin

(2S)-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-2,3-dihydro-4H-chromen-4-one

Hesperetin is the aglycone of hesperidin, (2S)-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-2,3-dihydro-4H-chromen-4-one (CAS 520-33-2; C16H14O6, molecular weight 302.28). It is obtained by hydrolysing the rutinose sugar from hesperidin to leave the free flavanone, and is supplied as a high-purity HPLC powder. Carrying no bound sugar, it has a markedly lower molecular weight than the parent glycoside and a higher aglycone load per unit mass, with greater solubility than hesperidin. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets and powders.
