Zinc Picolinate

Zinc dipicolinate

Zinc picolinate, chemically zinc dipicolinate, is the zinc salt of picolinic acid with two picolinate ligands per zinc ion (CAS 17949-65-4). It is a chelated organic form rather than an inorganic salt, which distinguishes it from zinc oxide and zinc sulfate. At roughly 21.1% elemental zinc it sits in the mid-range of the family, comparable to zinc monomethionine and above the aspartate, orotate and gluconate forms. It is produced synthetically, labeled by elemental zinc content, and supplied as an off-white crystalline powder, which we manufacture in capsule and tablet formats.
