Thiamine Hydrochloride

Thiamine chloride hydrochloride

Thiamine hydrochloride (CAS 67-03-8) is the chloride hydrochloride salt of thiamine, vitamin B1, with the molecular formula C12H18Cl2N4OS and a molecular weight of 337.27. It is produced by chemical synthesis and standardized to USP/EP/FCC grade at typically 98% or higher assay. Unlike the lipid-soluble benfotiamine, fursultiamine and sulbutiamine derivatives in this family, it is a fully water-soluble salt; and where thiamine mononitrate carries a single nitrate group, this form carries two chloride counter-ions, making it the more hygroscopic of the two salts. It is supplied as a water-soluble powder, and we manufacture it in tablet, capsule, powder and liquid formats.
