Magnesium L-threonate is the magnesium salt of L-threonic acid, a sugar acid (CAS 778571-57-6; C8H14MgO10, MW 294.50). It is a premium organic form carrying only about 8% elemental magnesium, one of the lowest elemental loads in the family because of its large threonate ligand. The material is frequently supplied under the branded Magtein designation. It is produced as a white to off-white powder and manufactured into capsules and powder blends.
