Creatine nitrate is the nitrate salt of creatine, combining the creatine base with nitric acid in a 1:1 ratio (CAS 89695-59-0, C4H10N4O5, MW 194.15). Its counter-ion is a nitrate group, distinguishing it from the hydrochloride, pyruvate and organic-acid salts of the family, as well as from the water-free anhydrous base and the hydrated monohydrate. It is manufactured synthetically and supplied as a crystalline powder. It is manufactured in powder and capsule formats.
