Ginger Oleoresin

Zingiber officinale rhizome oleoresin

Ginger (Zingiber officinale), rhizome oleoresin. The oleoresin is a resinous concentrate produced by solvent or supercritical CO2 extraction of the rhizome and standardized on its pungent fraction, typically 18-30% total pungent compounds as gingerols plus shogaols. In contrast to the dry powder extracts of the family, it is a viscous oil-soluble concentrate rather than a free-flowing powder, and it captures the resinous pungent constituents in a single matrix. Physically it presents as a dark, viscous oleoresin. We manufacture it into softgels, liquids and capsules.
