NADH (Reduced Coenzyme 1)

Reduced beta-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide

NADH is the reduced form of beta-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, the fully assembled coenzyme built from vitamin B3, chemically reduced beta-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (CAS 58-68-4, C21H29N7O14P2, molecular weight 665.44). Unlike the synthetic single-ring and riboside forms it is derived by yeast fermentation and is the largest and most complex member of the family, a dinucleotide in which a nicotinamide nucleotide and an adenine nucleotide are joined through a pyrophosphate bridge. It is the reduced counterpart of the oxidised dinucleotide, isolated as a coenzyme and assayed by HPLC, and because the reduced form is oxidation-sensitive it is offered in stabilised formulations. We manufacture it into tablets and capsules.
