Copper Picolinate

Copper(II) dipicolinate

Copper picolinate is the copper salt of picolinic acid, chemically copper(II) dipicolinate with two picolinate ligands per copper ion (CAS 14050-01-2; C12H8CuN2O4, MW 307.75), carrying about 20.6% elemental copper. As a chelated organic complex it is distinct from the inorganic copper sulfate, oxide and basic carbonate grades, and it sits below those concentrated forms but above the gluconate in elemental load. It is produced synthetically as an off-white to pale-blue crystalline powder, manufactured into capsules and tablets.
