Sodium chloride

Sodium chloride is the simple inorganic sodium salt of hydrochloric acid (CAS 7647-14-5; NaCl, MW 58.44), occurring naturally as the mineral halite and recovered by mining or solar evaporation. At about 39% elemental sodium it is the most sodium-dense of the common sodium sources and the reference electrolyte salt, freely water-soluble and near-neutral in reaction. We supply it as a white crystalline powder for tablets, capsules, powders and liquids.
