L-Ornithine L-aspartate, or LOLA, is a 1:1 salt of L-ornithine with L-aspartic acid (CAS 3230-94-2, C9H19N3O6, MW 265.26). Because both partners are amino acids, the counter-ion here is L-aspartate rather than the mineral-acid chloride of the hydrochloride grade or the alpha-ketoglutarate of OKG. It is produced from fermentation-derived L-ornithine and supplied as a crystalline powder. We manufacture it in powder, capsule and tablet formats.
