Strontium carbonate is the inorganic strontium salt of carbonic acid (CAS 1633-05-2; SrCO3, MW 147.63), occurring naturally as the mineral strontianite. At about 59% elemental strontium it is the most strontium-dense form in the range, carrying far more per gram than the organic-acid salts, though like other carbonates it is only sparingly soluble in water. It is a white powder manufactured into capsules, tablets and powder blends.
