Vanadium amino-acid chelate is a chelated vanadium source in which vanadium is complexed with amino acids such as aspartate, glycine or nicotinate, supplied as a standardised chelate rather than a single stoichiometric compound, so it carries no single CAS number or molecular formula. It is standardised to its declared vanadium content, which is typically a low percentage because of the organic ligands. As a chelate it is distinct from the inorganic vanadyl sulfate and sodium metavanadate and from the defined organic complexes BMOV and vanadyl acetylacetonate. It is produced as a powder and manufactured into capsules, tablets and powder blends.
