Dipotassium Phosphate

Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate

Dipotassium phosphate is the dibasic potassium salt of phosphoric acid (dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, HK2O4P, CAS 7758-11-4), produced synthetically by neutralising phosphoric acid with a potassium base to the di-substituted stage. It provides both potassium (about 45%, second only to the chloride within the family) and phosphorus, distinguishing it from the single-mineral chloride, citrate and gluconate salts. Being the dibasic salt it is more alkaline than its monobasic counterpart, monopotassium phosphate, and it acts as a buffering salt in solution. We manufacture it as a crystalline powder for powders, capsules and liquid formats.
