Choline-Stabilised Orthosilicic Acid (ch-OSA)

Choline-stabilised orthosilicic acid

Choline-stabilised orthosilicic acid (ch-OSA) is a preparation in which monomeric orthosilicic acid is stabilised against polymerisation by choline, keeping the silicon soluble. It is supplied as a proprietary concentrate rather than a single stoichiometric compound, so it carries no single CAS number or molecular formula; the concentrate typically contains around 3 to 5% silicon together with choline chloride and water, with finished drops and capsules diluted well below that. This stabilised-liquid construction distinguishes it from the unstable free orthosilicic acid and from the solid silicate salts. We supply it in liquid and capsule formats.
