Global Standard for Food Safety
What it is
The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety is a GFSI-benchmarked standard adopted by more than 22,000 sites in over 130 countries. Unlike simple pass/fail schemes, BRCGS issues a letter grade that appears in its public directory and shows buyers how cleanly a site passed. We are certified to Issue 9 at Grade B.
What it covers
- Senior-management commitment and the HACCP-based food-safety plan
- Site standards, product and process control
- Quality-management system and operational control
- A graded audit published in the public BRCGS directory
Why it matters to you
BRCGS is a common requirement on UK and European retailer and private-label vendor forms. Because it is graded and directory-listed, it gives buyers an at-a-glance measure of food-safety maturity.
