Tablets are the most cost-efficient, highest-volume solid dose, made by compressing a blended powder into a dense, compact shape under a press. That compression is what lets a tablet carry a high active load in a small unit, which is why it suits formulas where the dose per serving is large or the cost per unit has to stay low. Brands choose it for the sheer breadth of what a tablet can become, from film and functional coatings for taste, appearance and protection, to custom shapes, colours, scoring and debossing for branding, to engineered immediate, delayed or layered release. Beyond the standard swallow tablet, the same platform produces chewable tablets for a taste-led format and effervescent tablets that dissolve into a drink. We develop the compression and coating for each formula so the tablet holds together, meets its weight and content targets, and runs consistently at scale. It is the format that scales furthest on volume while giving the most control over shape, coating and release.

Compression packs more active into a compact, swallowable unit than a filled capsule of the same size. That suits formulas with a high dose per serving that would otherwise need several capsules. The tablet keeps a large dose to a single, manageable unit.
A film or functional coating can be applied for taste, appearance, protection and release control. Coatings mask flavour, give a finished look, shield the fill from moisture, or time where the tablet breaks down. It is one of the format’s most flexible levers.
Custom shapes, sizes, colours, scoring and debossing turn the tablet itself into a branded object. A logo or a breakline can be pressed straight into the surface. That makes the dose recognisable without relying on the pack alone.
The tablet can be engineered for immediate, delayed or layered release, depending on how the formula is built and compressed. A multi-layer press can hold two blends in a single tablet. Release becomes a formulation choice rather than something left to chance.
Beyond the standard swallow tablet, the same platform makes chewable and effervescent tablets. A chewable is built around taste and texture for a format taken without water, while an effervescent dissolves into a drink. Both widen how a tablet can be taken.
