How we work

ODM Development

Need a product developed as well as made? Our R&D lab develops the formulation, validates it, and takes it through to production, so you get a manufacturable, consistent product without coordinating multiple partners.

What it is

ODM is for brands that have a clear product idea but not a finished formula, and want the development and the manufacturing to sit with one partner. Our in-house R&D lab designs the formulation, selecting the actives, excipients and dosage form, then proves it out through prototyping, stability study and process validation before it reaches full production. Because the team that develops the formula is the team that will make it, the recipe is built to be manufacturable at scale from the start, rather than handed over as a paper formula that then has to be re-engineered for the line. You bring the concept, the positioning and the brand; we bring the formulation science, the pilot work and the GMP capacity behind it. The result is a validated, documented product without stitching together a separate chemist, laboratory and factory. Ownership of the brand, the label and the final market decisions stays with you throughout.

The process

How it works

From a product concept to a validated formula and a finished, documented batch, with one partner.

  1. Brief and concept

You share the concept, the positioning, the target dosage form and the market it is aimed at, along with any must-have or must-avoid ingredients and the dietary profile you need. We turn that into a working formulation brief, aligning on what the product has to be before any lab work begins. Where the brief needs sharpening, we raise the questions early rather than mid-development.

  2. Formulation in our lab

Our R&D team designs a manufacturable formulation, selecting the actives, excipients and dosage form that fit the brief and hold together as a stable recipe. Choices are made with the production line in mind, so the formula that leaves the lab is one that can be run at scale. We draw on our supplier and university-research relationships to source and evaluate the ingredients the concept calls for.

  3. Prototype and refine

We produce prototypes and work with you to tune dose, taste, texture, colour and appearance until the sample matches the intent. This is where a concept becomes something concrete you can hold, review and adjust before any commitment to volume. We iterate on the sample rather than the full run, so refinement stays fast and low-risk.

  4. Stability and validation

We run stability studies and process validation to confirm the product holds up across its intended shelf life and can be manufactured consistently, batch after batch. The specification is fixed here: the target values and acceptance limits every future batch will be measured against. Nothing moves to full production until the formula and the process are proven.

  5. Scale-up to production

The validated formula and process are transferred to full GMP production in the dosage form and volume you need. Because the formula was designed for the line from the outset, scale-up is a transfer rather than a redesign. The first commercial batch is made to the same specification the validation work established.

  6. Quality control and release

Each batch is tested against its specification and released with a Certificate of Analysis, batch records and the full documentation package your market work requires. Lot traceability links every finished unit back to its raw materials and test results. From here, repeat supply follows the OEM path, made to the specification your ODM project locked in.

What this includes

  • Formulation designed and proven in our own in-house R&D lab

  • Actives, excipients and dosage form selected for a manufacturable, stable recipe

  • Stability studies and process validation before any full production run

  • Scale-up as a transfer, not a redesign, because the formula is built for the line

  • One accountable partner from concept through to a documented, tested batch

  • Every batch released with a Certificate of Analysis and full documentation

Ideal for

  • Brands with a defined product concept but no finished formula yet

  • Launches that want formulation and manufacturing under one accountable partner

  • New products and line extensions built from a clear brief

  • Teams without an in-house formulation lab of their own

  • Concepts that need a specific dosage form, dose or taste developed from scratch

  • Brands that want a formula built to be manufacturable at scale from day one
