What it is

This is the formulation science on its own: developing something genuinely new, or fixing a formula that no longer holds up, sources well or costs what it should. It is the same laboratory capability that sits inside our ODM route, offered as a standalone piece of work, so you can commission the development and then take the validated formula wherever you need it, into our production or back to your own site. We work from a three-part ecosystem of leading raw-material suppliers, university research partners and our own production floor, which means a formula is designed against real ingredient availability and real line conditions, not just what reads well on paper. Every candidate is prototyped and put through quality and stability studies to see what actually holds up, and the process is refined so the recipe is repeatable at production scale. What you receive is a documented, validated formula and process that you own, ready to manufacture. The commercial and market decisions, and the choice of where to produce, stay entirely yours.

The process

How it works

From an objective to a validated, manufacturable formula that holds up on the line, not just on paper.

  1. Define the objective

    We align on exactly what the work has to achieve, whether that is a new formula or a reformulation, and pin down the constraints: target dosage form, dietary profile, cost envelope and any must-have or must-avoid ingredients. Getting this definition right up front keeps the development pointed at the real goal rather than drifting. We also agree how success will be measured, so there is a clear specification to develop against.

  2. Research and design

    Backed by leading raw-material suppliers and our university research partners, we design candidate formulations grounded in current ingredient science and real material availability. Rather than a single guess, we work through options for the actives, excipients and delivery form that best fit the objective. Supplier relationships let us evaluate ingredient quality and sourcing at this stage, before a formula comes to depend on something hard to obtain.

  3. Prototype and study

    We prototype the candidate formulations and run quality and stability studies to see what actually holds up, not just what should on paper. Testing against the intended specification shows how each option behaves over time and under realistic conditions. The formulation that holds up best in study, and is the most manufacturable and consistent, is the one we carry forward.

  4. Process development

    We refine the manufacturing process so the chosen formula is not only sound in the lab but repeatable on a production line at scale. Process parameters are defined and tuned, so the recipe can be run consistently rather than produced once under ideal conditions. This is the step that turns a good formula into a manufacturable one.

  5. Validated handover

    You receive a documented, validated formula and process, along with the specification and study results that stand behind it. From here the choice is yours: take it straight into our GMP production, or back to your own site to manufacture. Either way, the formula and the data are yours to own and to move.
