Black cohosh (Actaea racemosa) root and rhizome concentrated into a marker-standardized extract. This grade is standardized by HPLC to 5% triterpene glycosides measured as 27-deoxyactein, twice the marker level of the 2.5% grade in the same family. Like the 2.5% extract it is defined by a fixed HPLC marker percentage rather than by the drug-to-extract ratio used for the 4:1 and 10:1 concentrates, and it remains a whole extract rather than a purified single compound. It is supplied as a dry, free-flowing powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets, and liquids.
