Boron amino acid chelate is a generic bulk boron chelate standardized to declared elemental boron, typically in the 4.5-7% range and commonly cited near 5%. Its carrier amino acids vary by supplier and may derive from either plant or animal protein hydrolysate, so unlike the specified glycinate and aspartate its exact composition and vegan status depend on the individual product. It shares the ill-defined stoichiometry of the other amino-acid chelates and carries no assigned CAS number, unlike the defined calcium fructoborate, boron citrate, boric acid and borax. It is produced synthetically and supplied as a powder for capsule, tablet and powder formats.
