Magnesium Oxide

Magnesium oxide is the simple inorganic oxide of magnesium (CAS 1309-48-4; MgO, MW 40.30) and the most magnesium-dense of the common magnesium ingredients, carrying roughly 60% elemental magnesium by mass. Unlike the organic-acid salts and amino-acid chelates in the family, it is only sparingly soluble in water. It is offered in light and heavy grades distinguished by bulk density, which governs powder flow and tablet compaction. Sourced from mineral magnesium, it is a white powder manufactured into capsules, tablets and powder blends.
