Manganese Bisglycinate

Manganese(II) bis(glycinate)

Manganese bisglycinate is a manganese(II) amino-acid chelate in which one manganese ion is bound to two glycine molecules (C4H8MnN2O4, CAS 14281-77-7). Unlike the simple inorganic salts (sulfate, carbonate, chloride) or the organic-acid salts, the manganese is held inside the glycine ligands as a fully-reacted chelate, and label grades are frequently buffered or diluted so the stated elemental content is set by the grade. On a pure-compound basis it carries roughly 27% elemental manganese, all in the divalent +2 state. The material is a synthetically produced powder. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet and powder formats.
