Globe artichoke (Cynara scolymus), leaf. This whole-leaf extract is standardized to 2.5% chlorogenic acid, reported as caffeoylquinic acids, by HPLC. It differs from the family's cynarin grades in the marker it is assayed against, targeting the chlorogenic-acid fraction rather than cynarin, while remaining a whole-leaf extract rather than an isolate. It is supplied as a fine dry extract powder. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet, and powder formats.
