Green tea (Camellia sinensis), leaf. This form is a water/ethanol leaf extract standardized to 50% total polyphenols by UV. As a whole extract defined by a single total-polyphenol marker, it carries no separate EGCG, catechin, or caffeine specification, which distinguishes it from the higher-assay decaffeinated grades and from the isolated single catechin. It is more concentrated than the milled whole leaf but less refined than those grades. Supplied as a dry, free-flowing powder, it is manufactured into capsules, tablets, and powder blends.
